Headingley 2009

In March 2009, The Yorkshire County Cricket Club (YCCC) selected Display LED to supply and install a 102 square metre DigiLED scoreboard and video screen for Headingley Carnegie Stadium. At the same time, YCCC commissioned Technographic Displays to supply and install a complete control system for their new display.

Display LED commenced the removal of the old scoreboard on 5th May and completed the new screen installation by 16th May, in good time for the One Day International between England and West Indies on 21st May. Heavy rain forced the abandonment of the match, but the screen system was ready and waiting for the start of play.

25th May saw the new screen's first cricket action (Yorkshire Carnegie vs Leicestershire Foxes in the Twenty20 Cup), with the new scoreboard providing scoring and advertising to great acclaim.

The Headingley installation includes TechScore Cricket - Technographic Displays' comprehensive cricket scoring application - and TechEvent - used for formatting and controlling the screen's content. The system provides a comprehensive range of scoring pages, graphical analyses, ball-by-ball Duckworth-Lewis par scores, video display capabilities, free text messaging and advertising, all in a reliable and user-friendly package.
